Levelling up

The moveset for Pokémon with multiple forms can be defined separately for each of those forms.

TM/HM

Move compatibilities need to be defined in the PBS file "tm.txt".

Moves taught by TM or HM will inherit the PP of the move they replace, if that amount is less than the maximum PP of the newly taught move. This is done in the newest official games to prevent the abuse of HMs and the now infinite TMs.

Move Tutor

Move compatibilities need to be defined in the PBS file "tm.txt".

This allows a Pokémon to learn a special move it may not be able to learn any other way. This service is usually provided by an NPC.

Move Relearner

This allows a Pokémon to relearn any move in its level-up moveset which could be learnt at a lower level to the Pokémon's current level. This service is usually provided by an NPC.

Move Deleter

This allows a Pokémon to forget any move it currently knows (unless it only knows one move). This is typically only useful for forgetting HM moves, which cannot be overwritten by another move. This service is usually provided by an NPC.

Special defs

These include defs that silently teach a Pokémon a move, and are usually used to customise a special Pokémon. Can teach any Pokémon any move with no restrictions.
