    • Are those the names of three different rivals?

    • yeah, after the naming I want to let the player to choose between them.

the names appear normally in the massage box

    • It's not habe to be the rival.

The aim is to let the trainer name 3 things, and later in game to let him choose between them

    • Shouldn't the v be a capital in \V[x]?

That's how always write it, don't know if lower-case works as well.

      Database
Some background might clear what I need.

My game is similar to Habitica, which basically mean that the progression in the game

is based on meeting up with your goals and by how much you study.

As a way of motivation to study and such.

I used the rival naming system as a way that individual can choose is own goals.

In the text message, the name appears normally but not in the choice options

    • I'm not sure what to say to help you. I've never needed this is RMXP and as far as I can remember, this type of thing does work in VX Ace. Sorry.

    • okay, so in the choices window, it doesnt follow the same messages as normal. so what you should do is the following in a text section:

      \ch[1,3,pbGet(103),pbGet(104),pbGet(105),Back]

And create a conditional branch depending on a variable (in this case, 1)

but actually, i noticed later in your script that all you do is give gold based on the other variables, so you can just do a script stating:

      $Trainer.money+=pbGet(pbGet(1)+106) if pbGet(1)!=3

then do the text saying:"amazing, here is the gold" or whatever

      hope this helped
