Health Bars Animate Too Quickly

  • This might be more of a preference than an bug, but I noticed that during battle when a pokemon's HP is changing, the health bar animates too quickly (about twice as fast as the core games). This makes a lot of battles feel a bit stilted and unnatural for players.

    Fortunately, I was able to come up with a decent fix/workaround. In the script section PokeBattle_Scene, in the PokemonDataBox class's update method (on line 716), if you change the line if @animatingHP to if @animatingHP && @frame%2==0, the HP bar will only update every other frame, causing the animation speed to slow down by a factor of 2, which makes the animation a bit more natural.
